He was predeceased by: his parents, Philorum Giroux and Ernestine Brault; and his half-sister Jeanette (Roy-Charette). He is survived by: his wife Louise (Vermette); his daughters, Christine (Pierre Piché) and Sylvie (Normand Gravel); his grandchildren, André, Véronique and Elyse; and his great grandchildren, Jérémy, Maxime, Jayden, Nicholas and Wesley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family relatives and friends.

Memorial donations in Claude's name may be made to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
