She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sons, Bryan (Jennifer) and Bruce (Audrey); her grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Cameron, Hannah, Matthew and John; her sisters, Yoshiko and Masuye; her parents, Toshio Kikuta and Mitsuye Kikuta; her sister Shizuye; and her spouse Frank. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Throughout her battle with Alzheimer's disease, Chiyeko maintained her generous and helpful spirit and always expressed her gratitude to everybody who assisted her.
