He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Simkins; his parents, Helen Strong and Sidney Strong; his former wife Gillian Strong (Sam Iyengar); his children, Rachael Strong (André Ouellette), Andrew Strong (Karen Blake-Strong) and Emily Simkins-Strong; his grandchildren, Chloe Ouellette and Evan Strong; his brother Julian Strong (Margaret Strong); and his sister-in-law Linda Clippingdale (Rick Clippingdale). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles' name to the Canadian Cancer Society would be much appreciated.
