Chaim was predeceased by: wife Helen Gilboa; child Hadas Kalchouk (Hanan); parents, Julius Gabel and Freda Gabel (Solomon); and sister Miriam Ariav.

Chaim is survived by: children, Tal Gilboa (Rob) and Jonathan Gilboa; grandchildren, Paz Maoz (Sarah), Eitan Maoz (Heather), Hadar Maoz, Aaron Gilboa, Oliva Gilboa, Yochai Kalchuk, Elinor Kalchuk (Dan), Ryan Steiner (Amanda) and Alexandra Steiner (Ben); great grandchildren, Estelle Maoz and Ivri Naor; and siblings-in-law, Elidad Ariav and Audrey Levy.
