She was predeceased by: her husband Amin Sankar (Rajah); her children, Yasmin (Nasir "Dereck"), Soraya (Allan), Imran, Farah and Ferial; her grandson Joshua (Ary); her siblings, Hassan (Elise) and Omar (Anne); and also, Zaman and Tofa Mohamdee.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Tara Mohamdee, Fuad Sankar (Nari) and Lyla Kissoon.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice or the Alzheimer's Society are appreciated by the family.
