She was predeceased by: her husband Earl McCarthy; her children, David and Donna McCarthy; her grandchildren, Haley Renshaw (Colin), Skyler and Abigail; her stepgranddaughters, Valarie and Samantha; her great grandchildren, Jack and Emily; her parents, John Patrick and Maude Patrick; and her brother Donald Patrick (Elaine Stewart).

She is survived by: her children, Melanie Hartry (Michael), Shelley and Shannon; and her sisters, Joan Secord (Don) and Gail Plimpton (Richard).

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (150 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A3T9). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
