He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Ayer and Laurine Ayer (Bannister); his children, Shelley (Brian Bond), David (Jacqueline) and Steven (Joanna Lynn); his grandchildren, Laura, Julianna, Andrew, Matthew, Peter, Nathaniel, Zachary, Anneke, Jared, Seth, Simon, Emily Jayne, Hannah, Noah, Molly, Levi, Bronwyn and Ellianna; his great grandchildren, Jude, Grant, Simon, Fiona, Keegan, Emma, Elliott, Reilly, Eleanor, Phoebe, Juliet, Ralph, Brielle, Liam, Tannis, Venice, Tiberius, Owen, James, Everley, Silas, Mark and Hope; his granddaughter Hope Mariposa Ayer; and his siblings, Barton Ayer (Barbara), Laura Lewis (late Vernon) and Arlene Mercer (late Bill).

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the graveside service and burial will be limited to the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada (parkinson.ca), or Ottawa Theological Hall (OTH) are requested. Donations for OTH may be done by e-transfer to ORPC with "OTH in memory of Aubrey Ayer" in the memo line.
