He was predeceased by: his siblings, John, Shirley O'Neil (Lindsay), George, Clarence, Allen and Donnie; and his parents, Claude Whalen and Edna Whalen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joy and Jennifer; his siblings, Fred Whalen (Jeannette), Lloyd Whalen (Sharlane), Florence Vandine, Mary Whalen (Gary Lawson), Vivian Dean and Susan Connell; and his sisters-in-law, Vivian and Eva Whalen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
