He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervyn Strong and Beatrice Strong; his significant other Cathy; his son Terry (Monique); and his sister-in-law Marguerite.

He is survived by: his children, Danny (Sue), Debbie Renwick (Rob Williams), Peter (Jodi) and Donna Carroll (John); his siblings, Gordie (Sandra), Bryan, Bob (Bernice) and Anne Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Gorman (late Doris), Rose Bourguignon (Bob), Marion Garland (Jim), Phyllis (late Ray), Jeannine (Peter Boddy), Gerry (Gloria), Madeline Kelly (Joe), Teresa Quinn (Ralph) and Leo (Yolande).
