He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Dias and Rosaria DaSilva (Soares). He is survived by: his children, Carlos Dias (Dany Dias) and Maria Dias (Alain Leclerc); his grandchildren, Lyam, Morgan, Ophelia, Emma and Mackenzie; his child Benvinda Da Silva; his friend Maria Barreto; and his pet Juanita. He is also survived by his brother, many nephews, nieces, friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation would be appreciated.
