He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Theresa; his children, Dana Church (Stephen Kingston) of Waterloo and Westin Church of Ottawa; his siblings, Terry (Kelly) of Almonte, Ruth Higginson (Jim) of Hawkesbury and Chris (Angie) of Kincardine; and his siblings-in-law, John Couvieau (Carilyn), Carly Marcellus (late Ken), Jeff Couvieau (Maxine), Leah Couvieau (Roger Blado) and Rodger Cleary (late Nancy). He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
