He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ayotte and Claudia Charron; his wife Teresa Poulin; and his children, André Jr. and Lise.

He is survived by: his siblings, Jacques (Hélène), Rollande (Siméon) and Lucille (Yvon); his sons, Denis (Nicole) and Gilles; his grandchildren, Alain (Laura), Roxanne (Todd), Ginette (Roby), Crystal (Alexandre), Angel (Travis) and Patricia; and his great grandchildren, Maxime, Katia, Dominik, Zoey, Joshua, Sébastien, Alexis and Alayna. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
