He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrle and Donald. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Lisa (Wes Boling) and Jason (Emily); his grandchild Cameron; his siblings, Myrle Jane (Paul Edmonds), Scott and Gayle (Mark Thibeault); his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Stephanie, Alison, Robert and Léa; and his brothers-in-law, Richard (Louise) and Denis (Josée).

In his memory, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
