He is survived by: his brothers, Ed and George (Lillian); his niece Kathy (Eldridge); and his nephews, Jeffrey (Juliana), Brendan and Bryan (Sue). He is also survived by 4 grand nieces.

He enjoyed many special occasions with us at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and countless meals at Chinese restaurants. Alex was kindhearted with a zest for life: in his painting, his philosophical questions at meals, his willingness to try new things in sports and music (tennis, squash, cross-country skiing, guitar, singing) - Rob MacKinnon”
