He was predeceased by: his parent James Stephenson Mullan of Norwood; and his sibling Jane Young (Lorne Milne). He is survived by: his wife June; his children, Debra Laing (Mark), Steve Mullan (Jean) and Lorrie Mullan (Allan Cleary); his grandchildren, Chey (Peter), Jorden, Brelyn, Brendan, Heather, Brad (Cindy) and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Chloe, Josh and Sarah; his parent Gladys Mary Buck of Norwood; his siblings, Bonnie Kelly (Bill), James Bernard Mullan (Pam), William Mullan (Carol), Bruce Mullan, Delores Klassen (Rudi) and Eleanor Rose (Donnie); his friends, Baby and Socks; his aunts and uncles, June and Kathy (Wayne Simpson); and his friend Jake Hammel.
