He is survived by: his spouse Christa (Nee Sweeney); his grandchildren, Elise, Annika, Olivia Nizio, Tommy Garrity and Johnny Garrity; his sibling Roger Shorey (Ann); his parents, Joan and David; and his parent-in-law Christa Sweeney.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home , 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595, on Saturday April 28th , from 1:00pm – 4:00pm, If desired, memorial donations to the Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa would be appreciated.
