It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Gerald MacDonald of Oshawa, Ontario, who passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Stephen Gerald departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Stephen Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Stephen Gerald leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet MacDonald and Murray MacDonald. He is survived by: his wife Janice (O'Connor); his children, Shannon Moon (Wes), Geoff (Laura Argyle) and Justin (Bree Gallinger); his grandchildren, Georgia, Emmett, Hollis and Ewan; and his sister-in-law Virginia MacDonald.
Instead, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, you consider writing to your Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) to advocate for better pay for nurses and personal support workers, whose care was invaluable to Stephen during his final years.
