Rose Delaney Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rose Delaney (Oshawa, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rose left this world on September 1, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bridget (Charles Rodgers) and Auchtermuchty (Glasgow); her husband Jim; her daughter Marian; and her siblings, Michael, Anne and Mary.

She is survived by: her children, Allan Delaney (Sarah) and Colleen Schneider (Michael); her grandchildren, Declan Lloyd (Sami), Andrew Lloyd, Delaney Lloyd, William Delaney (Jade), Caitlin Lloyd and Jack Delaney (Daniella); her brother Patrick Rodgers (Grace); her sisters-in-law, Anne Downie and Patricia Morrow; and her caregiver Raina. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Courtice Funeral Chapel (1587 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Courtice, ON L1E2R7). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the St Gertrude's Catholic Church (690 King St E, Oshawa, ON L1H1G5). A committal service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (355 Taunton Rd E, Whitby, ON L1R3L4).
