She was predeceased by: her daughter Sheila Hood (Al); and her parents, Leo Daley and Frances Creed. She is survived by: her husband James A. McCarthy; and her children, Jo-Anne Pierson (Scott), Leo McCarthy (Cheryl), Jean Rines (Elwood), Doug McCarthy, Susan Dowling (Doug), Cathy Huntington (Allan) and Linda Warman (Ken). She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Oak Ridge Hospice or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
