She was predeceased by: her son Roger; her sister Ruth Hochleitner; and her parents, Joseph Burgess and Annie Burgess. She is survived by: her husband Douglas; her children, Margaret and Tom (Susan); her grandchildren, Robert Brown, Tammy Dickinson-McCafferty (Sean McLean), Jeffery Brown (Jae) and Kathleen Brown; her great grandchildren, Alex and Chris McCafferty; her niece Melanie Park (late John); and her great-niece Katrina.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood, Alzheimer Society of Canada or Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
