He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Francis Guirey and Margaret Guirey; and his siblings, Paul, Vincent, Donna, Margaret and Christine.

He is survived by: his friend Karen Guirey (Bert van Hout) of Whitby Ontario; and his daughter Julie Armstrong. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
