She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean-Paul Bégin and Marthe Goulet. She is survived by: her husband Alex; her children, Robin Paquette (Marie-Helene) and Simon Paquette (Riley); her pets, Dexter and Mini; her siblings, Hugue (Patty), Bertrand (Christine) and Odile; and her friend Quebec. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.

In memory of Mélanie, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lakeridge Health Foundation Cancer Center would be appreciated.
