It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Major Garland Garry Allan Foote (Oshawa, Ontario), who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Earl Foote and Rose Foote (Isaacs); and his brothers, Raymond, Les, Glenwood and Bramwell.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Foote (Head); his children, Elizabeth and Michael Foote (Ligia); his granddaughter Xania Pagliaroli; and his siblings, Malrey (Betty), Alvin (Yvonne) and Donna (Bruce). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Salvation Army Church (570 Thornton Rd N, Oshawa, ON L1J6T6).
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Salvation Army Oshawa Temple or the Cancer Society in Garland's honour, continuing his legacy of faith and service.
