He is survived by: his wife Maria "Rie"; his former wife Irene; his children, Rick Westrik, Marianne Nicols (Phil), John Westrik (Gloria) and Valerie Cain (Richard); his stepchildren, Arie Kuijper (Marinda) and Riny Reesinck (Etienne); and his siblings, Gerda, Joke, Bertha and Ria.
