He was predeceased by: his parents, John Churchill and Florence Churchill; his brother Douglas Churchill; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Grepe and Janet Hoare.

He is survived by: his wife Gillian Marjorie; his sister Lorraine; his siblings-in-law, John Grepe (Gail) and Nancy Grepe (Michael Brown); his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hamilton (Daniel), John Churchill (Kerri), Anne Hoare (Michael), John Hoare (Susan), Christa Ruhl (Christian) and Robert Grepe (Amanda); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Charlotte, Sophie, Ella, Lily, Harrison, John Paul, Emma and Jessica.
