He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquim and Rosa; and his sister Rosa Maria Miranda. He is survived by: his wife Souzel; his children, Sandra Ruas (late Ramiro), Rosemary Whelpdale and David Miranda (Aurelie); his grandchildren, Stephen, Valentina, Toni, Cody and Alya; his great grandchildren, Kaiden and Ezekiel; and his brother Antonio Jose Miranda (Manuela).
Donations, in lieu of flowers, in memory of Joaquim to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
