She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Hicks and Estelle Hicks; and her siblings, Margaret Henderson Sheppard (Jack) and Frank Hicks (Bernice). She is survived by: her children, Connie Picken (Al), Wes Schell and Bev Rancier (Jim); and her great grandchildren, Jaina, Grayson, Bryar, Raelyn, Amelia, Jillian, Ryker, Coraline, Benjamin and Tessa.

Memorial donations to the Terry Fox Foundation or the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by Joan's family.
