George Hiemstra Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2024, George Hiemstra of Oshawa, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Hiemstra (Spacek); his children, Jennifer Hiemstra and Robert Hiemstra; his sister Sarah De Jong; and his parents, Sidney Hiemstra and Sylvia Hiemstra (Kingma). He was also cherished by siblings and many nieces and nephews, as well as many wonderful friends.
Those who wish to make donations in memory of George are asked to contribute any of OSHaRE, Medecins Sans Frontier (Doctors Without Borders) or Amnesty International, or the charity of your choice.
