He was predeceased by: his parents, David Sr. Matthews and Sarah Matthews; his siblings, Tommy, Arthur and Margaret; and his wife Theresa.
He is survived by: his former wife Lynda; his daughters, Diane (Gord), Deborah (Stuart), Donna (Roger), Nicole (Tony) and Jennifer (Graham); and his siblings, Irene (late John), Mary (Grant) and Peter (Hilda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
