She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Slessor and Ruth Slessor; and her siblings, Paris Slessor and Judy Bossert (Ron). She is survived by: her husband Dan Capiato; her children, Sandy and Kristopher (Ashley); and her grandchildren, Darius, Madelyn and Declan Capiato.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Centre.
