“What a good friend John was. We hung around together during our late teens. I remember John would not leave the house until he had his nine cups of coffee. We'd go to Shelly's (Quinn) place every morning and play Frank Zappa - "Sheik Yerbouti" on his stereo. Some of the girls said John reminded them of Alice Cooper. I didn't see it, but John did well with it. He said he would never let a girl cut his hair unless they bought him a 40 of vodka. He finally did one day. I wish I had a pic to upload.”
