The memory of Leonardus John Backus (Orillia, Ontario), who passed away on April 14, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Josie; his children, John (Andrea) of Caledon and Michelle of North Vancouver, BC.; his grandchildren, Lee Anne (Sasa), Bradley (Melanie), Ashley (Ben) and Jessica (Elvis); his great grandchildren, Jayden, Mila, Oaklen, Nikola, Scarlett, Eli, Maple Joe, Chloe, Douglas and Luka; and his siblings, Jean Backus and Jack Backus (Lee).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mundell Funeral Home (79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
