Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Francis Mattinson (Orillia, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 76, on January 8, 2025. Though John Francis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Francis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Bergeron; his children, Céleste (Shanice) and Marcus (Brooklyn); and his nephews, James (Pauline) and Daniel (Jean).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Carson Funeral Home. A prayer will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation or Parkinson's Canada.
