He was predeceased by: his wife Kay Townes; his grandson Matthew; his great grandchildren, Leo, Wesley, Vittorio, Alexa, Carter, Ava, Elliott, Bella, Grace, Xander, Ria and Lorelei; and his brothers, Harold Townes and Jim Townes.
He is survived by: his children, Paul, David (Nicola), Bonnie Monforton (late Alan), Chris (Danita) and Robert (Kim); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Destiny, Brianne, Jessica, Jeremy, Jaymee, Ryley, Hunter and Owen.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home (38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church (115 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C4).
