It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Denis Rene Prefontaine (Orillia, Ontario), who passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Victor; and also Dorothy. He is survived by: his significant other Stephanie Mercier; his mother Margaret Prefontaine of Winnipeg; his brother Marc (Andrea); his nephew Matthew of Winnipeg; his former wife Rena Prefontaine of Winnipeg; and also, Ryan Brownell, Liam, Lexi of Winnipeg and Denis.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Belgian Club (407 Provencher Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R2H0G9).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mariposa House Hospice (https://www.mariposahousehospice.com), a cause close to Denis's heart.
