He was predeceased by: his wife Jo-Anne; his father Doug Brockbank; his sister Lori Webb; and his father-in-law Joe (Nancy Duff). He is survived by: his children, Melissa (David), Scott (Sara) and Amy (Cody); his grandchildren, Ever, Gavin, Scarlett, Wyatt and Austin; his mother Doreen Brockbank; his brothers, Brad (Kim) and Brian Brockbank; his pets, Jackson, Bentley and Daisy; and his caregivers, Amanda and Jo-Anne. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces, nephews.
A reception was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home (38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to honour Dave with a memorial bench in one of many trails he loved as well as to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital Oncology unit and the OSPCA in Dave's honour.
