He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dykstra and Wytske Dykstra; his brothers, Nicholas (Frances Dykstra) and Hessel (Connie Dykstra); and his brother-in-law Marten Vanderwal.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Koster; his children, Emily Smith (Jim) of Rochester, NY, Bill Dykstra (Cindy) of Orillia and John Dykstra (Marian) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Kevin, Trevor Smith, Nathan, Janel, Levi Dykstra, Jacob, Reanna and Sam Dykstra; and his siblings, Rennie Vanderwal and Jane Breukelaar (John).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Living Hope Christian Reformed Church of Orillia (50 Fittons Rd W, Orillia, ON L3V3T9). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Orillia Lighthouse.
