She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Hawke; her parents, Art Balkwill and Laura Balkwill (Laughlin); and her siblings, Elmer (Bessie), Margaret Galbraith (Alvin) and Morley (Jeanette).

She is survived by: her sister Lynda Johnston (late Bob). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
