He was predeceased by: his spouse Amie Roller; his child Gord Marie; and his sisters, Slavka and Jaruska. He is survived by: his children, Hanako Marie (Andrew Gallie), Marta Marie (David Hope) and Anna Marie (Michael Nicholas); and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda, Darren, John, Malcolm and Simone. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
