He is survived by: his spouse Elsie May Black; his sons, Les (Lynda), Des (Helen) and Victor; his daughter-in-law Diane; and his grandchildren, Christine, Sarah, Dylan and Jesse.

“We were very sad to just discover today that Joe had passed away last October, coincidentally on what would have been my father’s and Joe’s friend’s 100 birthday. We fondly remember Joe as a kind man with a great sense of humour. He often helped my late mother in her later years. We regret not contacting Joe the last couple of years. Our sincere condolences and best wishes to Elsie and family. Wayne and Dianne Baxter”
