He was predeceased by: his parents, William Simpson and Gladys Simpson; his stepfather Gerald Scott; his sibling Shirley Coates; his wife Joan; his former wife Alice; and his grandson Stephen.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Sue), William (Donna), Sheree (Clyde), Lori (Graham) and Lisa; his stepchildren, Debbie, Susan, Danny and Brian; and his grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Jonathan, Stefanie, Brandon, Andrew (Shauna), Jake, Ashley, Bill (Jessica), Lee, Matt (Allison), Tyler and Raymond. He is also survived by great grandfather of his many great grandchildren.
