He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Anita Thompson; his parents, Gilbert and Naomi; his brother Bryon; and his sister-in-law Laura Peterson.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his child Lee-Ann Peterson (Jeffrey Bisson); his siblings, Gary (Marilyn), Ron (Evelyn) and Penny Snider (Kevin); his father-in-law Frank; and his brother-in-law Michael Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
