She was predeceased by: her son Jim Turcotte; and her parents, Marion Chapman and Cecil Chapman. She is survived by: her children, Marianne Girling (Stephen), Cecil Turcotte and Garry Turcotte (Anna); her grandchildren, Melinda, Jessica and Anja; her great grandchildren, Hannah and Jack; her siblings, Ted Chapman (Marguerite), Fred Chapman (late Carol), Eileen Thomson (late Bruce) and Mary Jane Wills (Evan); and her friend John Boyer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a devoted crossing guard in Amherstview for many years, for those desiring memorial donations to Amherstview Public School will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
