She was predeceased by: her parents, Warwara Schemetilo (Lisizka) and Wasyl Schemetilo; her husband Ivan Samojlenko; her son Dimitrij Tesluk; and her close friends, Fenia and Dmytro Maykowych.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Tanya Schumacher (Al Frappier) of Kirkland Lake; her great grandchildren, Nicholas Schumacher (Sarah Gauld) of Eganville and Christopher Schumacher of Kirkland Lake; and her daughter-in-law Irene Pelchat (family: Olga Kmyta, Gordon Schumacher) of Kirkland Lake.
