He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan; his children, Ruth, John (Sylvia), Ann and David; his grandchildren, Ashley (Josh), Kristen (Fumiki) and Kyle; his great grandchildren, Freya, Cailan and Kiana; and his siblings, Kent, Grant, Kim and Lona.

This Company grew to become Canada's largest road builder and, eventually, became the foundation of one of Canada's greatest Companies, Aecon.
