He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Nykilchuk (Mudry); and his parents, Stefan Nykilchuk and Iryna Nykilchuk. He is survived by: his children, Michael (Anne) of Erin, Tim (late Carol) of Sudbury, Dan (Sylvie) of Sturgeon Falls, Christine Murphy (Peter) of Brampton and Peter (Lynn) of Lively.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Ukrainian Church (40 Notre Dame Ave, Greater Sudbury, ON P3C5K2). A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery (1280 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M4H9).
