We bid farewell to Merril Jay Smullen (Oakville, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 11, 2024 at the age of 71. Merril Jay touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham (Rita) and Merril. He is survived by: his wife Norine; his children, Malcolm, Kim, Daniel (Lizzie) and Emma (Matt); his grandchildren, Elise, Joel and Hannah; his sister Sharon (Henry); his nephew Isaak (Carolina); his niece Rebecca; his sister-in-law Joanne; his nieces, Sarah and Nadia (Frank); his nephew Stephen (Sydnee); and his friends, Peter, Belinda, Mike and Brenda.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. If you are able, please consider donating blood.
