He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Joe (Viv), Madelena (Mark), Zelia (Ken), Avo, Meghan (Kevin), Lindsay (Will), Stephanie (Kane), Bruce (Lyndsey), Colleen (Rick), Bisavo, Tison, Scarlett, Millie, Thea, Trent, Liam, Kayden, Mae and Eden; his siblings, Jose, Manuel, Maria, Santos, Joao and Ludovina; and his parents, Jose (Teresa Feteira Araujo) and Azores. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Scott Mission or Fare Food Bank Oakville are appreciated to honour Mariano's efforts to help fight hunger.
