She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray Nicholson and Velma Nicholson; and her brother-in-law John Gaik. She is survived by: her daughter Leigh Underwood; her sister Sandy Gaik (Steve); her nieces, Andrea (Wojtek) and Tara (Noah); her great-niece Hannah; her nephew Simon; and her friends, Brani, Tom, Barb, Bev, Shiela, Jane and Mary.

In remembrance of Linda Nicholson's life, charitable donations may be made to: Hamilton Music Festival (https://www.hamiltonmusicfestival.ca) to "the best soprano of the festival", or the Walton United Church music committee.
