He was predeceased by: his father Gerardus Meeussen. He is survived by: his siblings, Annie (Ted Smith), Ted (Cathy), Nelly (Grant Mitchener) and Garry (Kelly); and his nieces and nephews, Lindsay (Alan), Colin (Jill), Amy, Janelle, Evan, Alex (Joshua) and Mikayla.

Due to Covid restrictions registration for visitation is required.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by John's family.
